Donna Pihl

LMHC, Senior Associate

Donna loves working collaboratively with couples to help them grow individually, identify and resolve negative behaviors that impact relationships, develop an understanding and appreciation of each other’s differences, and achieve the goal of building strong emotional connection. She brings a relational approach to her counseling and believes that creating a safe and non- judgmental space is critical for individuals to begin the therapeutic process and to communicate and listen effectively.

Donna has worked in outpatient settings for a decade, providing individual therapy for adults impacted by trauma, depression, anxiety and grief/loss and relationship issues, as well as adolescents and children. Donna incorporates the Developmental Model with interventions including Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She also has training and experience in trauma-focused CBT, mindfulness practices and spirituality. In addition, Donna has worked in family preservation and adoption services.
