Jacqueline Diaz Maldonado, LIMHC, J.D.

Jacqueline is an active and dynamic LIMHC with licenses in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts and Connecticut. She has a Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law and practiced there as a Consumer Affairs Judge and in private practice for over 15 years. She has been treating couples, families, children, adolescents and adults since 2012. In addition to using the Developmental Model to guide her work, she customizes treatment using a combination of CBT, DBT, Exposure and Art therapy in her sessions. She provides services both in English and Spanish and also welcomes patients with more specialized needs including American Sign Language. Jacquie delights in working multiculturally, and enjoys working with men and women on sexual issues. Jacqueline has specialized her practice in Trauma (Sexual, PTSD, Veterans), Mood (Depression, Anxiety, Anger), Couples and Family Conflict, Interpersonal Violence, ADHD and Learning Disabilities. 

She complements her practice with NeuroCoaching, NeuroLinguistic Programming, (ACT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy and premarital counseling for couples, including Christian couples who need to fulfill a requirement for their churches.

Jacqueline has also been involved with fitness, arts and music since she was a teenager and believes in the power of natural remedies, exercise, meditation, yoga and sports for self-improvement, and likes to support couples' involvement in activities that nourish and empower them. She is an accomplished snowboard instructor and also a pastel artist.
