Jonna Sciacca is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has a passion for couple's therapy. She utilizes what she terms an "active not reactive" coach approach to helping couples achieve their goals. Born in August 1955, from Long Island, New York, she moved to Northampton in 1977.
Jonna holds a B.A. in Fine Arts and Psychology from Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated as a Frances Perkins Scholar, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. She was awarded her Masters degree as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor from Antioch University New England. A student of holistic living, Jonna has been counseling for over thirty years.
She has advanced trainings in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Addiction Counseling, the Wise Woman tradition of active listening, Conscious Communication, Guided Imagery, the Chakra System, and Transpersonal Psychology. Jonna holds certifications in Level One Yoga and Energy Work. Her work is informed by Archetypal Psychology, Positive Psychology, Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy.
