Hannah Emerson, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Based in Cambridge, MA, Hannah (she/her/hers) brings her warm, curious and sensitive presence to her work with couples and individuals; she is rooted in present moment practices, guided by her clients’ goals, and informed by the relevance of their histories and families of origin. While you’ll experience Hannah’s Southern warmth bubbling up from her roots in Tennessee, she is welcoming of all cultures/blends of cultures in the therapeutic space. Hannah loves supporting folks struggling with relational challenges as well as identity development, sexuality, spirituality/religion, anxiety, depression, trauma, psychedelic integration, and communication issues. Hannah practices using the Bader-Pearson Developmental Model, Hakomi Mindful Somatic therapy, Narrative therapy, parts work, and trauma-informed methods.
Hannah offers sessions in Spanish (as her second language).
Hannah is one of the few Hakomi therapists (level 2) in the state of Massachusetts and continues to train to be able to provide a space for individuals and couples to explore their inner worlds and subconscious material in a safe and curious way. Hannah has witnessed that the more we deeply learn to relate and care for all of our unique parts, the more we can grow into the adults we crave to become. In relationship, this practice lends itself to accepting the different parts of yourself and your partner(s), which enhances differentiation, self-expression, empathy, connection, and intimacy.
When not working, Hannah can be found spending time in the natural world, enjoying the unique blessings of the 4 seasons in Massachusetts, dancing, and spending time with family and friends in Massachusetts and Tennessee.
