Lucia Morace, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

As a dynamic psychotherapist, I work with individuals and couples across the lifespan.  I have a particular specialization in working with families and adolescents with special needs, trauma and mood issues, neurodiversity and relational challenges.  I have experience navigating school systems and acting as a liaison among social services and educational settings.  I am a natural advocate who goes to bat for my clients and employs a collaborative approach as we focus on positive solutions and strategies.  I am LGBTQ+ competent and affirming.  I regularly keep spots open for adolescents and parents in need, as I know the demand is high for strong treatment for these populations.  You will find me to be compassionate and focused in my approach.

In my work with adults, I am adept at working with issues ranging from phase-of-life challenges, trauma, substance use marital/family strain, depression and anxiety.  I utilize the Developmental Model, integrating differentiation, attachment and neuroscience, in addition to Trauma Focused CBT, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Art Therapy.

I am comfortable working with high conflict couples, teens who are struggling with impulse control and self-esteem and families who are challenged by the constant demands of life and parenting.  I have been "in the trenches" as a clinical social worker for many years and feel confident in my ability to make strong therapeutic alliances with my clients, no matter the complexity of the presentation or clinical concerns.

I also bring the wisdom and challenges of having mothered five of my own children to my clinical work.  I understand the stress that families are under and strive to be flexible in scheduling clients and working collaboratively with other providers.  I welcome the opportunity to understand each of my client's unique perspectives and identities.
