Winter Couples Retreats

Written by Katherine Waddell, LMFT

From my perspective, as a couples therapist who has been practicing for 30 years, Winter in New England (aka The Frozen North!), is a perfect time to think about booking a couples retreat with one of our highly specialized couples clinicians. There are so many reasons to consider doing a couples retreat, especially in Winter! The buzz and hum of activity that characterizes Spring, Summer, and Fall become but a memory, as we turn inward at this time of year. For many of us, being cooped up indoors with our partners highlights and magnifies some of the difficulties that we have never been able to navigate well without help.

I am here to let you know that there are extremely powerful tools and skills that you can access, learn, and practice in a one or two day intensive that will be a gift that keeps giving to your relationship and your family, for the rest of your lives together.

At Couples Center of the Pioneer Valley, relationship work is our specialty and condensing many months of couples therapy into one or two days is something that we are uniquely qualified for and able to offer our clients. Intensives focusing on sexuality, deepening into the particular challenges of queer relationships, skill building, affair recovery, and making important decisions about the future of your relationship (which you may keep putting off) are just a few topics that we can address in the intensive process.
